Five years after its first season dropped on Prime Video, Paatal Lok season 2 is all set to release on January 17. In an exclusive conversation with CNN-News18 Showsha's Titas Chowdhury, actor Jaideep Ahlawat and creator Sudip Sharma reminisce making the first season that was replete with subtexts pertaining to politics and mythology and how it was more of an 'idea of India' than being an investigative thriller. They also react to the controversies that engulfed the show and gave rise to questions of OTT censorship and morality of characters but how they didn't feel the need to play it safe this time around.
